Dana Batiste : Texas A&M linebacker, 1985-1988.  Led the team in tackles with 110 in 1988.  Drafted by the Miami Dolphins in 1989 and received career ending injury in a pre-season game.  In 2005, Batiste was one of three Texans to play in the CBS reality golf series, "PGA Tour 18 - Golf's Ultimate Road Trip".

Bubba Bean : Texas A&M Running back 1972-1975. All Southwest Conference 1974 and 1975. Drafted in the first round by the NFL Atlanta Falcons in 1976. Bubba has the 2nd longest run from scrimmage in Texas A&M history of 94 yards against Texas Tech, October 11, 1975 in Lubbock.

Gary Blair:  Texas A&M University's Women's Basketball Head Coach.  Blair was named the 2006 National Coach of the Year by the Women's Basketball News Service.  In 2007 the Women's Basketball team was named the 2007 Big 12 Conference Women's Basketball Champion. In 2008, he team won the Big 12 Conference Tournament and made the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament.

Darryl Bruffet:   Sports Director and Anchor for KBTX.  Began his career at KBTX in 1987 and was promoted to Director position in 1990.  Is a fixture at most Aggie sporting events.

Tim Cassidy:  Texas A&M Associate Athletic Director for Football.  Considered by many to be one of the top football administrators in the country.  Since 1985, has spent a total of 19 years at Texas A&M as a key administrator in the football program. A key contributor to the A&M Championship teams in 1985, 1986, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1997, and 1998.

Ray Childress: Defensive lineman for Texas A&M 1981-1984.  Was All-SWC and All-American 1983 and 1984.  Member of the Texas A&M Hall of Fame.  Drafted as the number 3 pick in the 1st round of the NFL draft by the Houston Oilers in 1995.  Played for the Oilers 1985-1995 and played the 1996 season for the Dallas Cowboys.  Was a 6 time All-Pro selection.  He played in 163 professional football games and made 76.5 quarterback sacks.  Founded the Childress Foundation in 1995 in Houston.  Thus far the Foundation has provided $1.2 million in college scholarships and benefited more than 1,300 high school aged children.

Rich Coady:   Played safety at Texas A&M, 1995-1998.  Stalwart defender made several key tackles in the Big 12 Championship Game in 1998 vs. Kansas State.  Player in the NFL, 1999-2005.  

Nolan Cromwell: Texas A&M Offensive Coordinator.  Was an All-American quarterback for the University of Kansas.  Played professionally for the Los Angeles Rams for 11 years at Defensive Back.  Was All-Pro for 4 years from 1980 through 1983.  Coached in the NFL for the Green Bay Packers  and later for the Seattle Seahawks.

John David Crow : Texas A&M's only Heisman Trophy winner.  Drafted in the first round by the Chicago Cardinals and was selected by four probowls. Member of the Texas A&M Sports Hall of Fame and National Football Foundation Hall of Fame.

Brad Dusek :  Texas A&M running back, 1970-1972.  Played linebacker for the Washington Redskins, 1974-1981.

Dave Elmendorf : Elmendorf played for the A&M football team as a free safety from 1967-1970, earning All-SWC honors in 1969 and 1970 and All-American honors as a senior. Elmendorf was also an outfielder for the A&M baseball team from 1968-1971 gaining All-Southwest Conference from 69-71 and All-American honors in 1971. He played as a safety for nine seasons in the andwas a part of the Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl XIV team.In 1997 he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and the Texas A&M Sports Hall of Fame. He is the "voice" of Aggie Football as analyst on the radio.

Hunter Goodwin:   Outstanding offensive lineman at Texas A&M 1995-1996.  All SWC in 1996. Drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 4th round.  Played tight end for both the Vikings and Dolphins prior to retirement in 2003.

Jacob Green : Texas A&M Defensive End. Made All-American 1979. Played 12 years in the NFL for the Seattle Seahawks. earned All-Pro honors on several occasions. Presently works for the 12th Man Foundation.

Greg Hill: Played Running Back for Texas A&M 1991-1993.  Was All-SWC 1991-1993.  At A&M had 18 games of rushing yards of 100+.  For his A&M Career had 631 rush attempts for 3,262 yards and 33 touchdowns.  Drafted in the 1st round of the NFL Draft in 1994 by the Kansas Chiefs.  Also played for St. Louis and Detroid prior to retiring in 1999.  NFL career rushing total was 3,218 yards.

Jeff Hunter: Director of golf for the Club at Sonterra in San Antonio.  Prior to that was Head Golf Pro at Miramont Country Club in Bryan.  Was named Gateway PGA Golf Pro of the year in 1999 and 2000.

Randy Jordan: Texas A&M Running Back Coach.  Played running back in college at North Carolina.  In 1993, made the Los Angeles Raiders as a free agent.  Played for the expansion NFL team, the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Scored Jaguars 1st ever touchdown on a 71 yard pass reception.  Played for the Oakland Raiders, 1998-2002.  Recipient of the NFL Unsung Hero Award and Ed Block Courage award in 1001.  Prior to A&M, coached for the Oakland Raiders and University of Nebraska.

Larry Kelm:  Texas A&M linebacker, 1983-1986.  Led the AGgies in tackles in 1986 with 152.  Tied for school record with 25 tackles vs. SMU in 1985.  Outstanding play in the 1986 Cotton Bowl with assisting in two critical stops on 4th down runs by Bo Jackson of uburn. Drafted by the NFL Los Angeles Rams in 1987 and retired from NFL in 1993. 

Dave Kennedy: Texas A&m Strength and Conditioning Coach.  Prior to A&M, he was Strength and Conditioning Coach at Ohio State for 13 years following by stints at the University of Pittsburgh and Nebraska.  Considered by many to be one of the best Strength and Conditioning coaches in the country.

Joe Kines:  Texas A&M Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator.  Previous coaching stops include Alabama, Arkansas, Florida State, and Georgia.  Known for his contagious enthusiasm.

Bob Long : Texas A&M Letterman in both football and baseball 1966-1968. In the Texas Hall of Fame. Drafted by the MLB los Angeles Dodgers in 1969. Well known for his 80 yard reception and run for a touchdown in the 1967 victory over the University of Texas.

Van Malone:  Texas A&M Assistant Football Coach for Defensive Backs.  Entering his third season at Texas A&M.  Drafted by the NFL Lions in 1994. 

Tank Marshall : Former Texas A&M defensive tackle. Lettered 1974-1977 and was All-SWC in 1975 and 1976. Co-winner of the Aggie Heart Award in 1976. Tank was a significant force in the Aggie defense which was ranked 1st nationally in both total defense and rushing defense and 5th nationally in scorng defense allowing only 9.5 points per game in 1975.

Tommy Maxwell:  Played Defensive Back at Texas A&M 1966-1968.  All-SWC defensive back in 1967.  Member of the Texas A&M Athletic Hall of Fame.  Drafted in the 2nd round of the NFL draft in 1969 by the Baltimore Colts.  Played professionally for the Baltimore Colts, Oakland Raiders, and Houston Oilers before retiring in 1974. 

Randy McCown :   Texas A&M Football Quarterback, 1996-1999.  Big 12 Championship in 1998.  Holds record for longest play from scrimmage in school's history of 96 yard pass to Chris Taylor vs. Tulsa on September 18, 1999.

Ray Mickens: Played defensive back for Texas A&M, 1992-1995.  Was All-SWC 1993-1995 and All-American in 1995.  During A&M career accounted for 9 pass interceptions and 28 pass breakups.  Drafted in 1996 in the 3rd round of the NFL Draft by the New York Jets.  Had 11 pass interceptions during his NFL career prior to retiring in 2007.

Charlie Milstead : Charles Milstead was born in Tyler and began his athletic career in high school. He went on to A&MUniversity where he was an outstanding quarterback. In 1998 he was named to the Texas High School Hall of Fame. After earning his degree in engineering, he was drafted by the Houston Oilers.

Kevin Murray:   Outstanding quarterback at Texas A&M 1983-1986.  Led A&M to SWC championships and Cotton Bowls in 1985 and 1986.  Was All-SWC and 2nd team All-American in 1985 and All-SWC in 1986.  Elected to A&M Sports Hall of Fame in 1999.

 

Steve O'Neal : Texas A&M standout in both football and track. Was All-SWC punter 1967-1968 and All-American in 1968. Played professional football for 5 years. Still holds the record for longest punt in NFL history of 98 yards, September 21, 1969 for New York Jets vs. Denver.

 

Bucky Richardson : John "Bucky" Powell Richardson is a formerquarterback for Texas A&M Universitywho went on to play professionally for the NFL's Houston Oilers. Richardson was an All-Southwest Conference pick in 1991.

 

Ryan Rupe: Texas A&M Baseball Pitcher, 1994-1998.  All-American in 1998.  All-Big 12 Conference Pitcher 1997 and 1998.  Holds school records for Strikeouts in a Season, Complete Games in a Season, Career Shutouts.  Member of the Texas A&M Hall of Fame.  Drafted by Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 1998. 

 

Dave South Texas A&M Associate Athletic Director for Sponsorships and Broadcasting.  Since 1985, South has been the radio "Voice of the Texas Aggies".  Is widely known for his enthusiastic play by play calls, especially when the Aggies score.

 

Shea Walker:  Wide Receiver at Texas A&M 1983-1986.  Caught 98 passes for 1411 yards and 8 touchdowns during his career.  With the help of Dave South, entered the world of sports broadcasting in 1992.  Has broadcast High School and College football on both radio and television ever since.

Tom Wilson:  Head Football Coach at Texas A&M 1978-1981.  Played quarterback at Texas Tech 1963-1965.  All-SWC quarterback in 1965.  Member of the Texas Tech Athletic Hall of Fame.  Was an assistant coach at both Texas Tech and A&M.  Coached at Palestine High School and Corsicana High School.  Led Corsicana to the State Championship Game in Class 4A, Division 1 in 1997.
